Thanks Royle. Interesting. Perfectly reasonable for Conroy to ask for a 2026 first. Especially if the return is not including an A-level prospect. Good for him to hold off trading Andersson if teams are not willing to trade their 2026/2027 pick - it’s pretty automatic that the flames could get a 2026 first at the TDL so teams that want Andersson for a full season at a really low cap hit should pony up a first from that draft now. I would expect it to be top 10 protected to mitigate the risk for the acquiring team.
