If I were in GMCC's shoes, Plan B would to settle on a package with a 2026 1st but 2027 is getting too far out for "The Plan".

In either case, Plan A would be pushing for a drafted or established C to line up better with Wolf (but knowing that it will probably a long shot).
- Toronto has nothing of interest
- Vegas also has very little of interest and it would be self-sabotaging for the Flames to help Vegas at all next season
- NYR doesn't make sense, they need LD support if Miller leaves
- Detroit likely doesn't work as we would want Danielson and they do not want to give him up
- Utah could be a great fit as they have lots of good young Cs (more than roster spots for them to play in) and a need for a #1RD so they can compete this year
- San Jose also has a lot of young Cs and is desperate for a number of D upgrades and depth as they prepare to circle the drain for another season
- Blue Jackets need D upgrades to get from a bubble team to a playoff team
- Stars need to get from the Conference finals to Cup contention and RD is a weakness. Cap constraints are huge here which makes Andersson their only choice but how can they meet the Flames needs??
