i dont think anyone will tell you that if all things are equal (skating, passing, shooting, compete, etc) you take the smaller one. if all things equal then yes size matters. I dont think anyone is telling you it doesnt.
all the posters here are saying is that they at least appreciate the pick and the attempt to go for the higher ceiling players
picking at 18, you act like they had the choice of anyone in the draft, do you really think they would have taken the same player at 7 or 8? or was it simply best on list that was not taken yet.
i dont think anyone is projecting him or expecting him to be a generational, franchise changing, first line C. (if he does [0.1% chance] that just a bonus) too many doomsayers about the draft choices. Cant just be happy for some new prospects to root for?
