I just moved here from Calgary and I like it much more. The pace is significantly slower and the people are much less stressed. I have been here since April and I have yet to have a two light wait, ever.
Lots of uni/college students but also lots of retired people. The native community seems larger per capita then Calgary as well as the Huterietes (sp?) are much more prevelant. From what I have seen there are only a couple spots in town where I wouldn't want to wonder at night.
The only major problem that I have down here is finding work. I just graduate from MRC before I came down and the work is much harder to come by then in Calgary. That being said the cost of living is amazingly more reasonable which will allow me to take a job that pays 30-40% less and still make more money after taxes.
Like has been said before, the Flames coverage is identical to Calgary and the bars all show the CI games as well.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic city.
