I still believe it will be the best thing for Canada in the long run, even though there will be pain in the meantime. I personally never liked NAFTA and its successor and the dependence it manufactured with the U.S. Not that I was pining to change it, mostly due to thinking it was too late and we were too far gone, but it it has to happen, let's lean into it.
