Sillinger + 14OA. The 14OA pick could have more value than Sillinger in getting the Flames a #1C. Either way it is a better package than Robertson (in my opinion).
Would you rather have Robertson vs Sillinger + 14OA?
1) The Flames need Cs and do not need wingers
2) If you do think Robertson is better value than Sillinger + 14OA then you go back to CBJ and tell them to up their offer....
3) There are other teams in on this conversation. Bruins, Red Wings, Mammoth, Sharks, etc.
Either way, if the Stars cannot offer the Flames a young C then they won't be in the Andersson sweepstakes. There are zero other #1RD who can be had for under $3M cap hit next season. The Stars need this trade a lot more than the Flames.
