Think about some facts:
1) Andersson is a great D and the Flames are in a unique position with his contract and a sellers market where there are almost no alternatives
2) In a bidding war, the Flames are not going to settle for whatever the Stars have to offer. Conroy hangs up on offers for Andersson that do not meet his price (young C with #1C potential.

The issue is that Conroy needs an offer with a young center with potential #1C upside. I like the 14th and Sillinger idea but he doesn’t have #1C upside. In this made up scenario do you take Robertson over a center with #2C upside? I would.
