Looking at the Stars, it makes sense that they go hard after Andersson because he is potentially the best RD available. Even if Ekblad is more talented and Dobson is younger, they are both going to need massive cap hits and Ekblad breaks easily. Andersson plays the whole season, even with a broken fibula. After the last season, durability must be on the mind of Stars management.
The Stars need to clear cap space and upgrade their #1RD. The Flames do not want a winger. Johnston is the answer.
If it could turn into a 3 way trade where the Flames flip Robertson into Misa then that is cool too, but I don't believe the Sharks would want Robertson more than Andersson.
