Sure, but Doan is already a pretty good bottom-six NHLer at age 23 and I think he has all the tools to follow a Marcus Foligno trajectory. That'd be a really nice outcome for Battaglia, even if not the best possible one.
Kesselring has played top-four minutes in Utah/AZ at points over the last two seasons and done very well. His ice time decreased last year after Marino and Durzi returned from injury but his results were strong across the board.
