Agreed, I wouldn't be upset if he did decide to stay and was signed to a long-term deal. Especially as his personality is a big part of the Flames identity it seems.
But it seems like trading him for a good return is the best thing for the franchise, and likely for Razzy as well. Of course if we get a disappointing return, everyone will be rightfully frustrated. But if Ekblad re-signs soon, we should control the market with the #1 Dman available.
