The Oilers are going to get rid of Kane, one way or another. Full stop.
If we can get a 1st off them for doing it, we totally should.
First, it costs us nothing, because buying him out won't affect us in the slightest.
Second, it doesn't 'help' them, they are doing it anyway, for some price. So that price might as well be paid to us.
Third, owning their 1st would be spectacular, if we hit on it.
