The Flames need a top line C, which is one of the most important and hardest positions to fill all the time.

If I am the Flames GM, all of my trade chips are pointed at landing a young top line C. If anyone calls asking for my biggest trade chip, the answer is "sure, it'll cost you the thing that I need".

If the Sharks miss on Ekblad and Andersson then they are going to have a much harder time trying to rebuild their D group and are likely headed toward another basement finish if they cannot dramatically upgrade their D group from what it is now.

If SJ is indeed willing to move Misa, I assume many teams would line up to offer younger dmen with years if control.

Anderson would certainly make them better now, but they are some years away from being a good team. By the time they are good, Anderson is likely regressing.
