The point was more that between those two picks I'd much rather have Edmonton's 2026 1st.
Dallas pick is locked in at 30.
Edmonton's pick could be anything, but at worst (and if the unthinkable happnes) be 32.
But next year is also a deeper draft so possible that 32 next year would still be better than 30 this year.

Ah my bad I thought you were talking about their 2027 1st - seems like they're guaranteed to trade that away at some point this year. When the wheels fall off in Edmonton with how old that roster is, it's going to get ugly fast, but I think not for 2-3 years yet so I wouldn't gamble on their 1st. At least the end of that team is slowly coming onto the horizon though. But definitely the 2026 draft seems better... I like the top half of the 2025 1st round but really feels like it falls off.
