I'd be leery of paying the price it would take to land this kid (for this team specifically), but of course if the acquisition cost is right then he fits the timeline tremendously, and Conroy would be doing a disservice not to inquire. In theory he would make a great fit for Huberdeau.
He already led Buffalo forwards in PP time.
His most common linemates were Thompson, Tuch, Dahlin and Power (that's a strong supporting cast)
He led the the entire NHL with an on ice SH% at five on five of 14.29% (of those who played over 1000 mins)
His defensive metrics were quite poor
A lot of things went right for him this season - so I am not sure he really has the ability to pop more than he already has - especially in Calgary currently. I'd be surprised if he was able to match his output from last season on this roster.
It's a tough one for me as these types of young talents don't pop onto the trade market to often, I am just not convinced he is the piece we should be spending significant assets to bring in considering team needs, etc..
