I'm all for drafting and developing talent, getting a Chicago dynasty era churn happening where you have a three year buffer of prospects rolling up though. That's when you can shuffle off your Byfuglins and Sharps.
But that's not going to stop them from making trades to build up the kind of roster you need to make that happen.

But yes we can load up on more picks. We missed the boat in Chucky but we can still accumulate 1st rounders and pieces with Coleman and Andersson. You can replace them internally.
Again you don’t have to use the picks to draft players. You can package them to get better players. You don’t know when the next Eichel or Rantanen pop up. Having an extra first to push you r offer over the top.
