I enjoyed Expedition 33 and think it's great to see a small studio rewarded for making a game that's somewhat unique and has one of the better musical scores for any game. Unfortunately it's not GOTY material for me because of how the story gets way too convoluted by the end.

Unfortunately it's not GOTY material for me because of how the story gets way too convoluted by the end. Spoiler! The story over the first half of the game doesn't even matter as the 3rd act devolves into a bunch of grieving gods fighting over control over the canvases. I just didn't find the family acts nearly as compelling compared to the expeditioners acts and feel this story would have been better served split between two games.
