I think Frost is going to sign a short term show me deal, which inevitably walks him to FA.
He hasn't really shown anything to be worth committing to past a couple years, unless it's extremely cheap, which wouldn't be smart from his camp.
Unless he has a breakout year next season, I don't think he's long term with the Flames.
He was a relatively cheap acquisition, so it's a fine gamble and a useful stopgap.
I don't think Frost holds a ton of value, maybe a 2nd? I can't see 32nd oa + Frost being enticing, but maybe the entire league is as low on him as some here think.
If that's what it took, I would definitely do it.
