It depends on a lot of different factors. If it's being used as a replacement furnace on existing ductwork and retrofitting is required modifying the main ductwork specifically then sheet metal fabrication changes are required for it to perform to certain specifications...something carrier takes very seriously for performance and warranty
Only 1carrier installer in Calgary seems to understand this and that's why they're awarded CFAD level awards because they follow protocols that ensure furnsces last longer in a era where planned obsolescence is king.
