Wolf didn't kick the door down. There was no door. They rolled out the red carpet for his arrival. They were willing to take the gamble that Wolf's career trajectory was real and it paid off. He really didn't give them a chance to build a door for him to kick down. And if we are honest, they really didn't douch to build out the roster to shelter him either and they still reaped the rewards of Wolf being who he always was, a great goaltender everywhere he has gone.
From a fan perspective there was way too much "But he's smol" and ignoring his stat line from every league he played in leading up to last season.
