Spent some time in Nova Scotia a few years ago. Wonderful place, wonderful people and beautiful scenery. While in and around Wolfville, take in Blomidon Provincial Park. You need to time it correctly and go there during falling to late falling tide but you can get down and see the amazing sea cliffs of the Bay of Fundy. Amazing geology.
Later, you can take a drive down valley to Annapolis Royal. See Canadian history writ large. Learn about the Acadian people, wonder why all the homes have a large star on them. Don't forget to eat copious amounts of scallops from nearby Digby.
If you have a couple of hours, take the drive over to Lunenburg. Beautiful historic town - a UNESCO site with amazing old colourful houses and a wonderful harbour. My grandfather's family settled there in the 1750's.
