Carolina looks so good in the whole Necas/Rantanen trades. Dallas is stuck in a in a likely re-tool situation and the Canes have their 1st.

Do they look 'so good'?
They have been trying to acquire a star level talent 2 years in a row - to push them over the hump and are 0/2.
At some point it's not just about "asset management", it's about winning.
I realize they recovered from the initial deal, but not in a way that actually accomplished the outcome they originally set out to do.
