Oh I 100% agree with you there, I just think that with the situation the team is in right now that the chances of you successfully cashing in on getting a top draft pick and having it become a true superstar (i.e. McKenna or DuPont) off of trading Kadri are low and so if it doesn’t work, I think you end up doing significantly more damage than good.
If it works out, awesome and we look like geniuses. If it doesn’t though, this is how you start down the path of becoming the Sabres. And the latter is much more likely statistically to happen between the two scenarios.
If you can’t tell, I’m not much of a gambling man lol.
