Kindel played a combo of C/RW this year, too, so it's not like C is out of the question. I heard in some podcasts that he primarily played C when he was drafted into the WHL. I guess the question is whether scouts project Kindel as a C at the NHL level.
I agree with you though, Kindel has the hockey IQ and skills to be picked much higher than where he's currently ranked. 99pts in a D+0 year is nothing to sneeze at.
