Conny did little leading into the draft making changes or upgrades to the roster. iMO, it was pretty much Mantha and promoting a bunch of kids.

They'll score more than last year too. Theres no way they replicate that paltry 31st in the league goals for .
And it doesn't sound like the plan is to stand pat this year. Sounds like they're going to make some improvements.

I don’t see how the defense gets better by trading Andersson and while they might score more than last year they will still be a bottom ten team offensively. Conroy thankfully said he is going to stay out of the UFA market and I don’t really see any players on the trade market that cement this team as a playoff team. Rossi is probably the best center available and even if the Flames can swing him I don’t think he is a #1C on a contender. Gambling on Pettersson is the kind of swing they’d need to take to try and lock a playoff spot.
