The Rise of Skywalker was a movie made in panic after the end of The Last Jedi.


I bet if you went to the round table at the start of the Trilogy. Palpatine wasn't even mentioned or in the script. They were counting on Ren to be the big bad by killing Snoke and enslaving the Galaxy.


Instead we got 2 hours of really bad fan service, with Palpatine being absolutely trashed. We got one of the dumbest space battles with even more fan service. Look there's Wedge, oh wait its the Ghost. We got a weak redemption story for Ren, and They blew off have the stories from the previous movie and paid one well known actress a ton of money to not show up for filming except for a 3 minute scene.


It was written as a fan service to Dark Empire, Mad Magazine and a AI based Star Wars Meme Generator.




Rise of Skywalker was a reaction to Rian the rogue director of Last Jedi.
