These are the same types that turned on Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Monahan, and Bennett, so it’s not just because they feel the team isn’t building correctly or doesn’t have star players. When we did, they complained about those guys too. And when Parekh makes mistakes or says the wrong thing they’ll complain about him. Or advocate trading Wolf (already happening). Or god forbid we get a top line center and he’s a little more Hischier and a little less McDavid, or has a second season like Bedard.
They want perfection and they want it now, so they can always have something to complain about.

How do you draw that line? I think most of the people who are frustrated with the approach are the same ones that thought those 3 players were mishandled at various points.
Having said that, that rests with the previous GM and I have more faith in Conroy's current approach and if I were to guess, I think he thought they were going to be drafting top 10 again this year. With the emergence of Wolf, that plan may have to shift now.
I also think there are a lot of people willing to be patient. Everyone who advocates for lottery picks knows it will take several years to build from that point. They don't want instant perfection, they just want to know that the plan is to get there.
