Also I find it kind of amusing as an import that I understand the assignment better than people who apparently grew up in the heyday of the Oilers/Flames rivalry singing kumbaya with Oiler fans.
Oilers are trash, always were, always will be, regardless of the record or the trophies. And it’s not serious business, it’s just part of the fun of having an actual rival fan base. I work with an Oilers fan and the assignment is understood on both sides, but we have fun with it. I get to troll him a lot less than he gets to troll me, but you better believe I make my shots count when I get them.
