I have a very specific need.

We have a cow water tank in the middle of a field, the pump is solar powered and does not always work. I drive past every morning on my way to work to check it, but I am sick of spending 15 minutes driving up and back from it to check.

Lately, I have been using binoculars to check from the road, with mixed results.

I would like to buy an Outdoor camera that I can set up to check the flow of water at a distance. 500M or so. Obviously there is no wifi. I was looking into trail cams, but am unsure since most appear to be motion activated?

picture quality is not a concern, I am willing to pay for a subscription if necessary.
