Is it so much that more recent misinformation has changed people's minds and formed new ugly opinions on LGBTQ issues?
Or has it been that for a great percentage of society they never really fully embraced and never fully accepted the full slate of LGBTQ issues and now with the political climate changing there's A) less scorn for people expressing these opinions publicly and B) Less overt pressure for people to express public support for LGBTQ issues?
