Maybe the whole the Oilers aren’t even very good thing is a legacy of so few meaningful games played between the two teams over the last 25 years. Or maybe it’s just easier to express something so clearly untrue online than it is to speak it out loud in front of other people IRL.

Or maybe the whole E=NG thing isn't nearly as serious thing as you are making it out to be. It is just a thread and concept for Flames fans to hate on their biggest rival. That's all it is. I'm always surprised when some people try to turn it into something more serious or bigger than that. It's just a silly bit of fun.
The Oilers are clearly a great team. They've made it to back to back finals. I don't think that means they are a great organization. I think they are largely poorly run who got VERY lucky drafting a generational talent.
But yeah we all know they are a great team and better than the Flames.
But that doesn't mean that E=NG isn't true. It is true. Always and forever.
