Not a bad show, I think it was my fifth time seeing them and Gordie had good jump last night. But it would have been nice if they had played something--anything--off of Road Apples (or "Nautical Disaster" or "38 Years Old" or "Boots or Hearts" or...)!
The last time I saw them was in 2004 in Kingston, and the Sadies opened then as well (along with the Trews, Matt Good, and Hugh Dillon). I just can't get into the Sadies, even though I like country music.
Enjoyed the "R.I.P. Cowboys" sign erected on the drum kit in the encore last night.

I too saw that one and while I love Sloan and enjoyed most of the set, again there were some songs I would have liked to have heard, especially "Underwhelmed" but also "Sensory Deprivation", "Keep On Thinkin'", and "Friendship".
In sum, I wish I could dictate which songs my favourite bands would play live.
