Yeah, really weird. I can only assume that when she realized she had exactly double the third place total, she thought "I only need to bet a dollar", then when she wrote it down, she had a brain fart and instead bet all but a dollar.
From what I can find, the rules for a second place tie are the person who had more money going into Final is awarded the second place prize money, so she really didn't need to bet anything.

I also found it funny that the winner on Tuesday won with $799, then finished third on Wednesday. That means his total winnings would have been $2,799. So, he would have won more money if he had finished second in his first game ($3,000) than he did by winning one and losing one. Of course, he should have finished third in his first game, but both the other players overbet in Final, which allowed him to win, so he still came out ahead.
