I know nothing of the player, other than the online data. Never drafted, and he's signed until next summer '26, so we'd have to negotiate his release.

is that $17m Rupees annually? That's $250k USD yearly, surely that's a manageable contract to negotiate his release from. Is he willing to leave Russia?
