Byram makes more sense than Rossi IMO. Byram can easily come in this year and get big minutes. Rasmus looks like he will be gone this off season and he played over 24 minutes a game.
Rossi and Frost are RFAs. Both will be wanting a long-term commitment, Rossi maybe would take a bridge but you need to trade significant assets to get him so the Flames might want the commitment.
I just don't see how it works when Backlund and Kadri seem like they are here to stay, and they play big minutes. None of these guys deserve a 4th line role but someone has to be that guy and Frost probably the best bet to be that guy, if so, why commit to him? Trade value is probably low too.
Unless we deal Kadri, it will be hard to add a young center than is established already.
