Diallo’s path has been far different than his other top compatriots. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov, who place higher in the rankings, were superstar junior talents seemingly destined for stardom, and both had breakthrough successes in their teenaged years. Diallo was a more raw talent, who spent four years playing college tennis at Kentucky to further hone his skillsets as a player. That time in development has paid off.
