I also have trouble watching this team with Alejandro Kirk in the lineup. On a WAR basis he's a wash with Danny Jansen and also younger so it looks like the Jays made the right decision on which catcher to keep, but it's almost like baseball doesn't properly have a stat for how much his inability to run rally kills offense, even when he gets on base. Perfect example yesterday was when a deep fly to Right Field cannot score him from third. Like literally any other roster player would have scored, but no insurance run to make it 3-1 because Captain Kirk is plugging up the bases.
