The answer to that question belongs in the other thread where you or anyone else who has so internalized this conflict that you've made it a key element of your personalities can go and hash it out with people similarly obsessed with the issue and absolutely certain that their point of view is the correct one irrespective of side. That thread is an absolute nightmare, and allowing it to leak into other parts of the board will ruin them utterly. It's already messy enough having every fifth post be this:
