The Panthers have said they turned things around by moving out players who didn’t fit how they wanted to play, and bringing in those who did. Huberdeau and Weegar are presumably the former. When the Tkachuk trade was being analyzed, a rival executive was quoted in the Athletic saying the Panthers were smart to move out two guys who were not hard to play against. But as Cali says, it looks like Weegar has changed his approach.
