You look at all the optimism we had around here before each series last year. All the good sounding things that were said.
How we, the optimists, were wrong in the LA series, wrong in the Vancouver series, wrong in the Dallas series.
And within a whisker of seeing a 3-0 Florida lead become an Oiler cup.
And then all the optimism heading into the LA series again, "It'll be different this time!"
And then it was... until it wasn't.
Vs Vegas, don't worry Vegas will take care of this problem. And then they very much didn't.
And then Dallas "will beat them this time". And then Dallas got absolutely worked for 2 periods.
Maybe you start to see why some feared the worst?
