At least not enough to suggest they 'need' to move Rossi for cap reasons.
Kaprizov is going to be paid, he's going to eat up at least 11-12M of that space long term.
Rossi's camp was looking for upwards of 7.5+ long term, and the Wild just aren't comfortable with it as they don't want both players taking up 22-24M in cap space.
Billy called his season an outlier and doesn't think he's worth more than what they offered.

Rossi's camp was upset that the Wild lowballed him long term at a rumored 5x5 so they countered with a bridge deal of 2 years at a higher AAV and it was shot down.
Add in the demotion in the playoffs from top 6 to 4th line center with very little playing time, and you've got a recipe for 2 sides who would rather move on.

Do they really need that much cap space to clear?
They have quite a few holes to fill (5), specifically in the top 9 and a backup goalie.
The money adds up quick, that space will deteriorate when shopping in the UFA market this summer.
Could they fit him? Yea they could probably find a way to make it work if they really wanted, but from what I've heard they'd much rather flip him than pay him 7.5+
