One rumor I saw yesterday was the idea of the Flames getting Kyrou from the Blues. Can't remember who it was, but the idea was that the Blues only have 3 picks in this coming draft, and trading Kyrou would be a way for them to recuperate some of that lost draft capital. I don't think the Blues are up against it to the point where they'd need to move out a guy like him since Krug is now LTIR for life. I don't know enough about Kyrou's underline numbers to know if he's any type of play driver. Seems to be a decent goal scorer who had a better overall season this year after a couple of seasons where he got points, but infuriated coaches with his play in all three zones. So maybe the Blues think it's a chance to sell high.

I’m not so sure. In 2023 the Blues picked three times in the first round. Given the way they played after the coaching change I doubt, very much, they move Kyrou for picks. They signed those offer sheets last year to get better now. Trading one of their core pieces for picks would be at odds with that organizational direction.
Sounds like a not-so-well thought out trade rumour if you ask me.
