Canadian non-profit news sites like The Narwhal and National Observer get nominated for the same awards, and employ some of the same journalists, as mainstream “legacy media.” They’re pretty reputable. I find The Tyee tends to editorialize quite a bit, but I think it’s otherwise good, honest journalism. Press Progress- obviously unapologetically progressive. Also good journalism.
