You don't pay 14M/yr for 25-30 goals. If we're looking to add a high-end skilled forward, it should be a goal scorer who can gel with Huberdeau and help get him back to being a 80+ point player.
If they shell out the big bucks for Marner, maybe he helps Coronato & others increase their goal totals. But on the other hand, you can pretty much forget about getting into the Makar sweepstakes, as our cap situation will likely make it impossible.

There are no elite goal scorers in the market. You will have to draft them like Coronato is trending towards.
You are not paying 14M a year for his 25-30 goals he would also add 50-60 assists. So someone is scoring those goals.
I also don't think he should get more than Rantanen. I was wrong about him, it took him time but it looks like he has taken over Dallas. He is doing something on every shift, he is big and fast and super skilled.
Marner is more of a elusive shifty guy, I don't see him dominating shifts the same way which is why his game likely fades in the playoffs.
