Teams don’t stop trying when they play the Oilers. I think it’s just that Knoblauch has turned out to be a good coach. He gets enough out of the foot soldiers on the roster that McDavid and Draisaitl can do their thing. This playoffs the Oilers are outscoring the opposition 16-9 at even strength when those two are on the bench.
