I do believe fans who say the animated series like TCW are good, but I just can't get into animated star wars as someone raised on live action movies. The animation style takes me out of it.

So they're exempt in my mind.

I have my competent SW rankings as:

1) Empire Strikes Back
2) A New Hope
3) Andor
4) Return of the Jedi
5) Rogue One
6) Mandalorian S1-2
7) Revenge of the Sith
8) The Force Awakens

HM: Solo (I like the movie, but it just doesn't feel like SW canon)

Then a bunch of forgettable or cringe-inducing slop we only speak of in passing.

Ahsoka season 1 almost qualifies, but the last couple episodes were peak Disney awfulness so it undid all the good of the first half.


EDIT: After watching the final arc, I bump Andor up one. Second after Empire for me. ANH plays like the icing on top of everything Andor and R1 builds before it.
