Our new ownership group has a small chance of including Ryan Reynolds, shooting a documentary on the turn around, and building a Wrexham like aura around the team.
Another group may be focused on the long term marketability of engaging their fan base and building around superstars obtained with draft capital.
Even some property developers that are only interested in the development opportunities around the arena with hotels, entertainment, etc could buy the asset to build a conglomerate empire.
Frankly...this year was a bit of a proving ground, with the salary cap, and the youth movement that expansion drives, if we got the nightmare owner that wouldn't spend to the cap and cut all services to the bone (which would look similar to the current team in my opinion). At least they'd want to eject large salaries, and go with youth through the draft.
Anyway...I'm open to opinions, but my calculus lands on anyone is better at this point. Oh and I like Murray fine, running a resource company, where lowest cost wins. Lowest cost entertainment isn't my idea of fun though.
