No kidding. I actually find flag football dramatically harder on my body these days than rec hockey, and back in the day real football once a week was absolutely devastating physically while hockey 3 to 4 times per week was never a big deal except the once a month you'd get lit up with the crushing hit. Maybe its just 15 year old memories, but it seemed like I took as many big hits per game in football as I did per season in hockey.
