Time to just suck it up. Who knows, maybe they'll come around to enjoying a world class entertainment venue that bolsters activity in the east side of downtown and puts this city back on the map.
Yeah, the funding model wasn't ideal. But ownership are hardliners who've put this thing off for decades despite multiple attempts and threatened to take the franchise elsewhere. So in the end it's better to pay a little extra and get this thing done than be sitting around playing four franchises in an ancient saddledome that can't house any major acts until the roof came down.
