I feel like if you showed that play to 100 people not a single one would guess he was on the bench throwing up with a concussion after. Just so weird.
I really hope he is okay, and can somehow make it back into the series.

I am thinking that the root cause is the shot from Reinhart 5 minutes in
I can say that as a goalie you take a lot of pucks off the mask, and most of them are glancing, they deflect and the amount of force transferred to your head is a fraction of what it would be if it hit you square. It’s basic physics, resolving the vectors of puck trajectory before and after impact
But the ones that hit you square, and pretty much lose all of their velocity? Those are pretty rare, especially considering the profile of masks and with cat eye wire. But when those ones happen, you notice the difference
That shot by Reinhart died pretty quickly, and didn’t go too far, which indicates the mask/ head took the brunt of it
(And I can also say that knocking the mask off is not a definitive indicator of anything. If the mask moves, maybe in a certain situation it happens that the head takes less impact. It’d be case by case and tough to know if you’re not the one inside the mask)
I don’t know when Stolarz was puking over the boards but unless he came to the rink sick or pregnant he shouldn’t have been playing at that point
