Hard to say really as things can change a lot year to year. Nobody, and I mean nobody envisioned the Predators finishing bottom 3 and they did so by a fair margin. That said as long as the Flames continue to have a strong work ethic, they should stay afloat but trading Anderson will make them worse as I don't see another defenseman on the roster able to take up his minutes. Backlund and Coleman will not likely be better and likely worse. Kadri will be 35 and his drop-off could happen at any time. I think the Flames will likely take a step back next season and it's just a matter of how much.
